Halfway through a four-year global business transformation project (SAP), there was a vacancy for a change communications specialist. Documents and processes from the previous releases hadn’t gone far enough inspiring the desired behavior changes necessary to support the transformation. We broadened stakeholder involvement to increase buy-in, liaised with all parts of the project team to cross-share information, and partnered with change management leads to align messaging. We renewed the focus on internal communications to support the project lead and boost engagement. Other goodies included: communications on behalf of the project lead, coordinated Go Live messaging globally, line managers’ toolkit, factsheets.
