The regional diversity and inclusion (D&I) council had a list of best practice solutions to implement, but needed an extra pair of arms and legs to do it. We asked, “are you sure this is the right list?” Taking the organization’s identity, culture, strategy, and people initiatives into account, we retooled the strategy for D&I and came up with a customized plan for employee education and engagement, and critical initiatives to embed inclusion. Other goodies include: regional listening tour (qualitative research study), half-day training for managers, key governance protocols, D&I newsletter, support for employee resource groups, industry benchmarking.
